Icons of Filth - Not on Her Majesty's Service

Download
Icons of Filth were part of the second wave of punk in England. An abrasive band not unlike their contemporaries as far as their anarchist message. However, I think one of the great travesties of punk history is that bands will get pigeon holed for their artwork and lyrical content rather than music. These guys would fit in far better musically with Heresy than Crass.

Bad Vibe - Dark City Demo

Dowload
Not sure what to say here. This is pretty much post-millennium hardcore. Good recordings, lot of metal riffs, Ceremony worship here and there, really great drums. It's excellent for what it is. Just not really what I'm into, but hey I gotta support Arizona bands.

Prosthetics - Bad Intentions streaming in full!

Not for download|Listen/Purchase

Prosthetics were my first experience with the Arizona hardcore scene a good four years ago. They were alot faster back then but not half as good. This is stoner punk executed perfectly. Metallic riffs, songs about cancer and pot. Like down tuned Annihilation Time.

The new version of Black And White is insanely good, but man Note To Self rips. Check it.

Manipulation - Demo 2009

Download
Manipulation are a hardcore band from Chicago. They share members with Chronic Seizure, Civic Progress, and No Slogan and have the ex vocalist of one of my all time favorite bands Pedestrians. They're sorta disappointing for having such a killer line-up. Kinda D-beaty and the vocals are too fuzzed out for my liking. But hey, if they weren't a super star line up I'd probably not be so disappointed.

Gypsy Spit - Demo 2010

I've been somewhat aware of these guys, in name only, for a little while now, though I'd never listened. This morning I awoke to an email of one of the members with the 2010 demo attached. I downloaded it immediately and really really dug it.

Fast, somewhat chaotic, noisey, grind influenced hardcore. Endless Blockade comes to mind, though the vocals remind me alot of No Comment meets Hatred Surge.

Be on the lookout for these guys in the future. Good things are coming their way.

This reminds me: I do take requests if I like the music you're asking me to upload. If it's your band please attach at least on song so I know what I'm uploading.

Elders - Demo Cassette

ELDERS are a new band on the Phoenix scene, and they're fucking great.

Arizona Uber Alles.

Much Worse - Demo '09

Much Worse play fast 80's US styled hardcore with obvious Japanese influences. Fierce vocals, raging guitar and fast fucking drums. Reminds me of Jerry's Kids, Deep Wound and Gauze mixed.

The band just put out their first 7" on Pass Judgment in very limited numbers. There's also a copy of the 7" floating around on tape that I managed to get my hands on.

Scratch Acid - The Greatest Gift

You have this album. Or you damn well should. It's essential if you dig noise rock, and even if you don't.

Pedestrians - Discography

This is Chicago fucking hardcore. There's no mistaking it. Pedestrians play melodic mid tempo hardcore that's quite catchy. Sounds like Dez singing for Naked Raygun to me. Fucking insane. No idea if they're still playing shows. I really hope they are.

Repercussions - No Peace

Members of Cold Sweat, Sacred Shock, Pedestrians and Deathreat. This release delivers and is nothing short of the promises made by members' previous bands. Urgent crust tinged hardcore with a metal laced riff here and there. See, or rather listen, for yourself.
